Unashamed - Part 2

Every person, regardless of background or moral standing, is in need of a Savior. Paul makes this clear in Romans 1 through 3 by showing that both open rebellion against God and self-righteous religion fall short of His standard. The root of humanity's problem is pride, which blinds people to their need for grace. Ingratitude accelerates the downward spiral, while genuine thankfulness to God marks the beginning of restoration. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and no amount of personal goodness can close that gap. The good news is that where our excuses end, God's grace begins. Accepting the honest diagnosis of our condition is the first and most important step toward receiving the cure that God has provided through Jesus Christ.
