Sanctifying the Lord in your heart means setting Christ apart as holy and giving Him first place above all other influences. This spiritual practice involves fixing our gaze on God rather than worldly distractions and living in response to Him rather than merely reacting to external events. When we make this daily choice, we naturally become ready to share our faith with gentleness and respect. Like Joshua, we must not only recognize God's presence but also respond with immediate obedience. By praying through Psalm 25 and allowing its principles to guide us, we can lift our souls to God, embrace humility, walk in both mercy and truth, and experience freedom through keeping our eyes fixed on the Lord.
