Salt + Light Part 3 - Win The One

Sep 21, 2025    Pastor Jared Gella

Winning your community for Jesus doesn't require being a pastor or standing on street corners - it's about personal connection and influence. Jesus called His disciples to be 'fishers of people' and described believers as 'salt of the earth' and 'light of the world.' Our good deeds should naturally draw others to praise God, reflecting the heartbeat of heaven. The parable of the lost sheep powerfully illustrates God's relentless pursuit of each individual, celebrating when even one sinner repents. This teaches us to focus on the one person God highlights in our sphere of influence rather than trying to reach masses. We prepare the soil in our communities by getting messy in relationships - intentionally connecting with people we might not normally engage with - and by speaking life-giving words in a world full of negativity. These actions create relational equity and opportunities to share Jesus.
