The Twelve - Part 6

Have you ever asked God to show Himself to you? Have you prayed for a sign, a clear word, or some kind of confirmation that He is real and present? You are not alone in asking that question. In fact, one of Jesus' own apostles asked something very similar on the night before the crucifixion.

At the Last Supper, Judas (not Iscariot), also known as Thaddeus or Jude, asked Jesus a question that many believers have echoed throughout history: how will You reveal Yourself to us and not to the world? It is an honest, searching question, and the answer Jesus gave is one of the most extraordinary promises in all of the New Testament.

Jesus did not promise to show up occasionally. He promised to move in permanently. In John 14:23, He said that He and the Father would come and make their home with anyone who loves Him and keeps His word. That kind of presence is not the presence of a distant God who checks in from time to time. It is the presence of someone who is with you in the morning, in the hard conversations, in the ordinary and the overwhelming moments of life.

This message explores the meaning behind that promise and what it looks like to actually experience it.
