The Way - Part 15
Romans 8 verse 28 promises that God works all things together for good, but that promise is anchored in a genuine love for Him. The story of Paul's journey to Jerusalem reveals what it looks like when even a devoted believer pursues a good desire outside of God's timing. Paul received repeated warnings from multiple prophets and trusted companions, yet pressed forward anyway, ultimately spending four years imprisoned rather than freely preaching. Even so, God did not abandon His purpose. Paul wrote letters from prison that became Scripture and testified before kings and rulers. The lesson is not that we must make perfect decisions, but that a life surrendered to God can still be shaped by Him even when we miss His timing. Discerning God's will requires Scripture, the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, honest motives, and a heart led by peace. The goal is not a flawless record but a life so close to Jesus that we can trust He is still working, no matter what.
